MISSION

The mission of Positive Adversity Youth Services is to help youth to accomplish their goals by providing mentorship and scholarships. We stimulate leadership, respect, teamwork, responsibility, and creative skills as well as support youth in their daily needs.

HISTORY

After growing up in Baltimore, MD and then moving to New London, CT at the age of 15, founder and Executive Director, Allan Chaney noticed common trends. Those trends are broken homes, single parent homes, foster parents, no role model, and no direction. As a role model and person who has been through so much adversity at a young age, Allan created Positive Adversity Youth Services to provide opportunities for the youth. As leaders in our community, we would be doing a disservice to not give back to the youth who need us more than ever.
